Intel to launch high end Centrino 2

Intel has planned to launch its Ultra high end 3.06GHZ mobile based processor, the chip is named as Core 2 Extreme X9100. The “X” already denotes as Extreme-series processor which means ultra high end processor and ultra high price. This will be the fastest mobile based dual core processor with 1066MHZ FSB and 6MB of L2 Cache. Well not to mention the 45nm Penryn based for Intel Montevina platform.

This 35X35mm processor will fit into Socket P and Intel promises that it will be a 44W TDP design which surely makes it the fastest mobile processor for Extreme High-End Notebooks. Since it has an Extreme processor so can be overclocked like hell, which some companies will provide higher clocks but 3.06GHZ is more than enough for Notebooks.

TechNewsTime.com thinks that this processor will be available in early June for Cenrino 2, Montevina based notebooks.
